Jessica Patton was born in Johannesburg on the 29th of January 1998, matriculating from De La Salle Holy Cross College in 2016 with five distinctions, one of which was for art, a passion uncovered at an early age. She completed a four-year BA Fine Art Degree at the University of Pretoria while majoring in Psychology, equipping herself with the tools to pursue her dream career as an art educator. Jessica has participated in multiple student exhibitions including those which have taken place at the Anton Van Wouw Museum in 2018 and 2019 as well as at the Javett Art Centre in 2020. During her studies, Jessica participated in a community engagement project at the Baviaanspoort Correctional Facility where she personally witnessed the true healing powers that free artistic expression had on inmates. Jessica has been accepted into a PGCE for 2021 where she will study to teach young minds of the transformative power creativity can hold.
