Cara Reyneke

Cara Reyneke was born on the 26th of August 1998, in Bethlehem, Northern Free State. She travelled and moved multiple times, from one town to another and finally ended up in Gauteng, where she matriculated from Die Hoerskool Linden in 2016. 

Reyneke started her first year BA (Fine Arts) in 2017 at the University of Pretoria and proceeded to continue until fourth year. Her work was strongly influenced by her strict Judeo- Christian background and pastor parents. Throughout the last four years, identify, liminality and religion was her main conceptual focus and worked with performance documentation, text based art and printmaking.
