Piano Chair

in this work, Piano Chair, the artist drew to scale Gerrit Rietveld's famous piano chair from 1923. the artist attacks the piano and for a long time the chair plays a secondary role as a witness to the attack of the piano however towards the end the chair becomes partly resposiblefor the attack.

this work is absurdist and shows a direct act of violence. the animation is a lso a tribute to South African pianist Moses Molelekwa(1973-2001), a promise of a renaissancein South African jazzculture who ended his life at the age of 27.
