Light Cell

‘After journeying down the rain-muddied waters of the Chippewa River, French explorers happened upon the Eau Clair River and they exclaimed “Voici l’eau claire,” meaning “here is clear water.” I conceived of Light Cell is a living prism shuttling our stories through the tributaries and streams we travel. This sculpture is a gentle vessel, a breathing body, and totem to light’ (Curran 2021).
