Confessional of Distress

The series, Confessional of Distress and Confessional of Insecurity allows the viewer to become a voyeur of intimate moments. One’s most intimate moments are usually when you are vulnerable. The work is a photographic work of myself wearing a paper bag shaped like a confession booth on my head. Paper bags over one’s head is usually symbolic of shame. I feel ashamed when I look at my own body, not because I don’t like it, but because it is considered sinful and opens the door to exploring your sexuality.
