Goal 7: Renewable, affordable and clean energy

The artist highlights the importance of the sun in this artwork. Solar energy is one of the most sustainable energy resources that we can utilise, and if done correctly and efficiently it can power our entire country. The shape of South Africa is imprinted with a solar panel design, and on top of that are the Arabic words directly quoted from the Qur’an wherein God speaks about the sun and its importance. The translation is the title of the artwork, “By the sun and it’s brightness”.
