Balthazar

 In the photographic work titled ‘Balthazar’ we see a young boy dressed in a school uniform, first carrying, then juggling, 3 large wine bottles that are painted onto the wall surface. The title of the series references the wine bottle size referred to as the Balthazar, but also touches on a religious connotation of Balthazar the biblical Magi who visited the infant Jesus upon his birth. Wine is a central symbol of transformation, juggled here by the young boy.
