The sculpture is modelled after a tin-can-telephone and inspired by the frustrations of bad signal. The work deals with trying to maintain a relationship long distance via telephone, and has a ring of text around the inside of each phone receiver, mimicking round-about conversations that end in frustration. Inside each receiver is a layer of mylar that crackles when brought up to the ear.
