Book launch of Carla Crafford’s, Light for Art’s Sake, and a group exhibition of photographs at the University of Pretoria's Link Gallery. 

The book, Light for Art’s Sake, completed in March 2021, will be launched at the Link Gallery. The book shows hand-made pinhole and multi-modal photographs that were produced by 84 students of the University of Pretoria (at the School of the Arts – BA Fine Arts and Information Design) from 1999 to 2020.

A chapter entitled ‘Beyond Campus’ also contains new experimental work – done by hand and created in collaboration with other professionals, all linked to the University of Pretoria. The photograph exhibition inspired by the book will also be exhibited. Some of the photographs on exhibition are contained in the book, whereas others were inspired by the often-untested processes relating to pinhole photography and analogue darkroom work.
